This training gives you a complete, science-informed understanding of adjustments in yoga and shows you exactly how to use touch, vision, cues and movement to help your students learn, feel and move better.
Go beyond basic hands-on technique. Explore the neuroscience of touch, the ethics of consent and the practical tools that make every adjustment more intentional, more effective and more transformative.
ENROL TODAYWho's it for?
This 100% online and on-demand training is self-paced and is perfect for you if...
YOU'RE A YOGA TEACHER WHO WANTS TO ADJUST WITH MORE CONFIDENCE AND SKILL...
you understand that there's a difference between placing your hands on someone and genuinely helping them learn. Whether you're newly qualified or have been teaching for years, this training gives you the principles, the science and the practical tools to make your adjustments more intentional and more effective.
YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND THE SCIENCE BEHIND WHAT TOUCH ACTUALLY DOES...
you've offered adjustments in class and sensed they could be more but you haven't had the vocabulary or framework to take them further. This training explains what's happening in the nervous system when touch is applied, how the brain processes sensory input, and why some adjustments land and others don't..
YOU CARE ABOUT TEACHING ETHICALLY AND LEADING WITH CONSENT...
you know that touch in yoga carries real responsibility. You want to understand the history behind where adjustments have gone wrong, what ethical practice actually looks like in a modern class, and how to create an environment where students feel genuinely safe, empowered and in control.
What you'll learn:
In this training, you'll explore:
-
The history and ethics of touch in yoga Understand how touch has been shaped by culture, religion and power, why the yoga world has had to reckon with serious failures in this area, and what genuine consent-led practice looks like today.
The neuroscience of hands-on adjustments Discover what actually happens in the nervous system when you apply touch, and understand the difference between first touch and second touch — and how each lands differently in the body.
Types of adjustments: visual, verbal and energetic Go beyond physical touch and explore the full range of tools available to you, from external verbal cues and visual targets to energetic adjustments and prop-based guidance.
Error augmentation and motor learning Explore the counterintuitive practice of amplifying an error rather than correcting it, to deepen proprioceptive awareness and accelerate self-correction.
The science of PNF Learn how Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation works at the level of the nervous system, and how to apply its principles effectively in a yoga context.
Perturbation, balance and the vestibular system Understand how deliberate balance challenges can strengthen proprioception, refine postural control and improve neuromuscular coordination across any class.
Visual adaptations: peripheral awareness and gaze Discover how the visual system shapes balance and movement quality, and learn practical tools including peripheral awareness training, visual fixation and moving target work.
The cerebellum and movement refinement Explore the cerebellum's role in timing, coordination and motor learning, and how skillful adjustments can directly engage cerebellar pathways for deeper, more lasting change.
"The neuroadjustments course with Celest is truly fantastic.
It does not just cover how to assist, which is in itself a chunky piece to chew on, but also the history of touch, the controversy around touch as well as ethical aspects between teacher and student.
We practiced assists to support but also to challenge when relevant depending on each student’s practice and nervous system. And of course, we explored the neuroscience of touch which is such an incredible topic, putting in perspective why we assist and how to refine our understanding of this skill.
An in-depth course which I keep revisiting over and over and was a lot of fun to be a part of!
Thank you, Celest, for pouring your soul and wonderful brain into these courses."

It was genuinely one of the most insightful and transformative workshops I’ve taken part in.
Celest is an exceptional teacher' generous with both her time and her incredible depth of knowledge. She created the perfect balance of practical and theory-based sessions, each one thoughtfully designed to keep us engaged and curious. Her approach pushed me to think differently, step outside my comfort zone, and really explore how my body and brain communicate.
Since then, I’ve been able to weave these adjustments into my own practice and share them with my students. I’ve noticed a real shift in myself: more calm, more grounded, and more balanced and that has carried into so many other areas of my life.
I left the workshop feeling empowered, equipped with new tools, and confident in embracing a fresh approach. I’m so grateful for Celest and her infectious energy. The experience has truly stayed with me."

Celest’s adjustment training was one of the best decisions I have made in recent years. The knowledge Celest shares gave me a completely new perspective that I can directly integrate into my yoga classes. I experienced many “aha” moments and realized how I can teach yoga in an even more conscious and effective way, in a way that truly supports my students.
I discovered how many different ways there are to support students, not only through traditional methods. I genuinely recommend attending at least one of the Celest trainings, as they open a whole new perspective on the body, the brain, and pain. For me personally, this resulted in deeper, safer, and higher-quality yoga classes.
In addition, Celest presents the complex knowledge in a very simple and fun way, which means that you have a lot of fun learning new things. We laughed a lot together, and I believe this is essential, because learning through joy truly helps the knowledge stay with you, sink into the body and mind, and remain long after the training is over.

Celest is deep down (or maybe not so deep) a Geek that loves anatomy and neuro-mechanics. She miraculously acquired her BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2009, despite dropping out of school at 16. The bonus of this is that she knows how to explain complex concepts and make them easy to grasp and digestible. After a workshop with her, you’ll know so much more than just your ass from your elbow ;o)
In addition to her degree she is currently studying functional neurology.
